THREE Prestatyn Town stars visited a primary school in the area to highlight the importance of a global football campaign to eradicate racism from the sport and all forms of life.

Aaron White, Casey Faulkner and Macauley Taylor spoke with Year 3 and 4 pupils from Ysgol-y-Llys regarding the ongoing Show Racism the Red Card campaign, which is the latest in a long line of community related initiatives organised by the club in recent years.

Club physio Jonathan Price also attended the visit, and the message was delivered bilingually with Headteacher Dyfan Phillips present throughout thanks to the Welsh speaking background of White.

During the talk, pupils gave examples of where racism is evident in everyday life and in the modern game, before taking part in a short question and answer session with the quartet.

This was followed by an autograph session with the former Academy stars, who are set to play an important role for Town this season following wholesale changes to the squad during what has been one of the most eventful off-seasons in the club’s history.

There was even time for a game of football between the players and children to conclude what was a hugely beneficial event to promote understanding, inclusivity and unity.
