TALENTED Denbigh Town playmaker Craig Pritchard is likely to decide on his future this week.

The midfielder was a key component in the Central Park side’s superb Huws Gray Alliance last season, where they achieve their highest ever league finish after finishing runners-up behind Caernarfon Town.

This has resulted in interest from a number of clubs throughout the region, but The Journal understands that Pritchard has narrowed down his choices to either Colwyn Bay or Rhyl ahead of the new season.

Pritchard has been training with the Seagulls and was reportedly offered a deal last week, while he has also been given the chance to link-up with former Denbigh manager Eddie Maurice-Jones at the promotion chasing Lilywhites, who have undergone significant changes to the playing staff and backroom team with a view to improving their fortunes this term.

The proposition of plying his trade in the English pyramid system under Alan Morgan is an attractive one, with the Welsh Futsal international still harbouring hopes of making it to the Football League in the future.

However, the strong links he has with the management team at the Belle Vue Stadium is also something he will consider strongly, especially as Pritchard formed such a fantastic bond with a large number of the new-look Lilies who have followed Maurice-Jones from Denbigh.

An announcement regarding the highly touted prospect is expected to be announced in the coming days.
