RHYL director of football Eddie Maurice-Jones has re-signed Danny Holland ahead of the new season.

The wide player joined the Lilywhites last season after impressing during a pre-season match against Brickfield Ranger, and he went on to make 20 appearances after recovering from a nervy start playing at a higher level.

Holland impressed the coaching staff during their first session of the summer, and The Journal also understands that forward Aaron Pomieye and Jason Jeffries are also training with the club with a view to securing extensions from the new management team of Dave Norman, Maurice-Jones, Gareth Wilson and Richard Williams-Cooke.

The ex-soldier, who served in Afghanistan, scored two goals during his first campaign for the Lilies and also drives for Mission Motorsport, where he recently competed in a 24 hour race at Rockingham racetrack for the team.

Maurice-Jones, said: "Danny has committed for the new season and he already shown us his good values. His honesty and work rate is of the highest level."

"Dave (Norman) speaks very highly of Danny as a person so I look forward to getting to know and work with him."

Holland, added: “Happy to have re-signed for Rhyl for the coming season. I enjoyed my time with the club last season and I'm looking forward to working with Eddie and his team as we aim to work together for a successful season."
