A GIRLS’ football team in Rhyl are celebrating after being crowned cup champions on Saturday (April 20).
NFA’s under-13 girls’ team beat CPD Porthmadog 2-0 to win the North Wales Coast Football Association Under-13s Cup for girls.
Elisha Jones and Laylah Town scored the goals to win the final for NFA, while player of the match, chosen by the NWCFA, was NFA’s Olivia Althof.

Rebekah Hansen, from NFA, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon, the sun joined us and the final was a credit to both teams; played in the right spirit from start to finish.
“We are always on the lookout for new players to join us, particularly under-15 or under-17 girls for next season.”
Last night (April 22), the under-13s also won their North Wales Girls Football League Cup quarter-final 1-0, and will face NFA’s under-12s in the semi-final.
NFA is a FAW platinum-accredited club, with every age group for boys and girls from under-6s through to women and men.
