RHYL RFC youth produced their best performance of the season on Friday evening (March 18) against Mold youth in a 32-19 home league win.
Mold themselves had turned Rhyl over quite comprehensively 60-12 earlier in the season.
A number of 16-year-olds stepped up from the under-16s and played their first games for the youth team, with each of them stepping up to the challenge.

With Rhyl dominating the opening 15 minutes, it looked like it might be a comfortable evening, but Mold showed a clinical side to their game; a couple of swift counter-attacks and they quickly built up a 14-0 lead.
Rhyl showed composure and came back with a try from Paddy Nelson, only for Mold to score a third try, before Nelson added a second try.
After the break, it was end-to-end, but Rhyl did all the scoring with further tries from Adam Walkowycz and Tommy Jones, who also scored three conversions and two penalties, giving a final score of 32-19.
