PUPILS ran a mile together to raise £2,000 for a life-saving charity.
Ysgol Brynhedydd took part in the RNLI campaign Mayday Mile, which encourages people to complete a mile.
Pupils ran in a large group to raise donations for the campaign as coastal areas get busier during the warmer weather and RNLI volunteer services have increased demand.
Children at the Rhyl school met lifeboat crew from the Rhyl RNLI station, which has been involved in a spate of rescues including five in five hours during the May bank holiday weekend.
“This is a fantastic effort by the pupils and staff at the school,” said Peter Dean, RNLI fundraisers’ chairman.
“In these difficult times, the RNLI is grateful to the school for supporting our charity.”
