RUNNERS representing Abergele Harriers took on a variety of long races in the last week.

Danny Williams took on the daunting Man vs Mountain race, which starts at Caernarfon Castle, then climbs all the way to the summit of Snowdon, before descending to the finish in Llanberis.

Danny ran an excellent 5:23:13 for the 22 miles, with more than 5,000 feet of climbing.

Also on Saturday (September 2), Sean and Steven McCormack took on the second of their series of marathons in memory of Majella for Hari Ingram.

Running together, they finished in 100th and 101st positions in 3:49:47.

On September 3, Danny Snelson took on the Heaton Park half marathon in Manchester.

He continued his fine form in the past couple of months, finishing in an excellent 1:44:08 for 29th position.

Meanwhile, Anthony Howe travelled to Germany this week, and took part in the Aachener Weiher parkrun; he finished in 40th position in 44:03.

Andrew Mercer stayed much closer to home, finishing 28th in the Conwy parkrun in 22.33.
