ABERGELE Harriers recorded great times at three different North Wales events and two parkruns in the past fortnight.

Wednesday, July 20 was “Race the Train” in Caernarfon, where runners are transported to the start on a steam engine, then race back the 5k route to Caernarfon before the train comes back.

For the Harriers, Darren Blazier finished 22nd (18:24, fourth V50); and Rachel Shipley came 30th (18:58, third senior female).

Sunday, July 24 was the 2022 Helena Tipping 10k race in Wrexham; a great course for PBs, but the course does have a sting in the finish with a slight uphill finale.

James Yarwood, back from his holidays, was 18th (34:00, seventh senior male).
