A PUB in Kinmel Bay has temporarily closed to undergo a major refurbishment as its operators lament the "end of an era".
Situated on Foryd Road near the Rhyl Yacht Club, The Harbour, part of pub company and brewer Greene King, closed on November 2 ahead of renovation works taking place.
Its operators said it was "sad to come to the end of an era but so excited for what’s to come for us".
In a statement, the pub said: "And that’s a wrap on The Harbour as we know it! We’ve closed the doors for the last time tonight before we reopen at the end of this month.
"The team have spent today working very hard getting the pub ready to be refurbished!
"We’re sad to come to the end of an era but so excited for what’s to come for us at The Harbour!
"We wanted to thank everyone for your patience and understanding whilst we’ve had all of the building work going on.
"We can’t wait to welcome you back soon - stay tuned for all of the exciting updates coming soon!"
Customers will be able to experience all the new-look venue has to offer when it re-opens towards the end of the month.
First impressions count and the pub’s kerbside appeal will be enhanced with a full external refresh and upgraded signage.
The Harbour’s much-loved beer garden will be extended with 100 additional seats, and the pub will introduce new outdoor furniture to improve comfort for guests and ensure even more space for friends and families seeking an alfresco refreshment.
Inside, the pub’s look and feel will be improved with stylish décor, lighting and furniture.
A new self-serve coffee machine will be installed, enabling customers to stay fuelled with free refills during their visit.
The Harbour has also recently introduced Sky Sports, providing sports enthusiasts with high-quality sports viewing experiences.
Ahead of its official reopening, The Harbour is hiring new team members with a range of front of house and back of house opportunities available.
