A FUNERAL directors firm based in Flintshire has taken on its first premises in Denbighshire as part of the company's latest expansion.
J. E. Davies & Son, a bereavement and wedding service, will open at the former Dowell Brothers site at Tyn y Parc.
The family-run firm has bases across Flintshire, including in Holywell, Buckley, Flint, Mold and Connah's Quay.
The Ruthin site will be the company's first in Denbighshire.
A spokesperson for the business said: "The late Bill Dowell, who started Dowell Brothers Funeral Directors in 1956, had a long association with J. E. Davies & Son, and indeed was a great support, and extended his advice and guidance to Edward Davies when he took over his family business in 1979 at a young age after the death of his father.
"Bryn Dowell is recently retired but we are pleased to announce that Wyn Dowell will be working alongside us and managing our Ruthin premises.
"We are looking forward to our new chapter in Ruthin and surrounding area, and working with Wyn who has extensive knowledge and is well-known and respected in the area."
