A PUB in Abergele has launched a stone-baked artisan Italian pizza menu, claiming it is the “only pub in the area to be doing this”.
The Yacht, on Marine Road, has partnered with Ascot-based pizza company Barrel & Stone, and held a “soft launch” for the menu on Thursday evening (October 22).
Pizzas will be available at the pub from 4pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday, and 12pm to 10pm on Saturdays, with customers welcome to either “eat in” or “take away”.
Either eight or 12 inches in size, some of the pizzas on The Yacht’s menu include “Simply Salami,” “Fully Loaded,” and “Burrata & 'Nduja”.
Ursula Cowie, who has run the pub with her husband, Graham, for the last 12 years, said: “I believe we are the only pub in the area to be doing this!
“We already have a very strong following for our food particularly carvery. We did a soft launch last night, and everybody piled in to try them.
“We got a really good response, and have already had positive Google reviews about the pizzas.
“I think the ‘Hot and Spicy’ was everybody’s favourite last night!”
The Yacht’s pizzas use fior di latte mozzarella (made entirely from cow’s milk) and garlic butter
Its pizza bases are made using premium re-milled durum semolina, and are hand-stretched and stone-baked.
