RHYL High School had to be evacuated after its fire alarm sounded on multiple occasions.

A witness told the Journal that “four fire alarms” went off at the school premises on Tuesday afternoon (October 20).

It is not known why the fire alarm repeatedly sounded at the school.

A Denbighshire County Council spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the alarm sounded on more than one occasion and the building was safely evacuated.”

Rhyl High School has been approached for further information.
