A CAFÉ in Llangollen has welcomed Celebrity Traitors stars Joe Marler and Joe Wilkinson this week.

Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom, in Station Road, welcomed the pair who were filming their new BBC series, The Friend Ship, in the area on Thursday (September 17).

Former rugby star Joe Marler posed for pictures and even sang a few lines of hymn ‘Calon Lân’, delighting staff.

Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom said: “You know we love a celebrity at the Chapel… and on Thursday we had our very own Celebrity Traitors!

“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson and the film crew to the Tearoom on Thursday, as they were filming their new TV series in the area.

“Joe Marler even surprised us by speaking a little Welsh and then treated us to the opening few lines of ‘Calon Lân’ in song!

“Bendegedig.

“Top bloke, friendly, down-to-earth and fun. It was lovely to host everyone and I am sure they enjoyed our Welsh hospitality.”

The café thanked the Joes for visiting and insisted they were ‘welcome back anytime’.
