A POPULAR gluten free fried chicken business that trades from Rhyl’s Queen’s Market has officially been sold as a franchise - but its founder says he is not going anywhere just yet.

The Romi’ng Wolf North Wales - which serves popular 100 per cent gluten-free crispy fried chicken and loaded fries, has been franchised, with the business’s founder set to remain in North Wales until December as part of the handover period.

In a post on social media, The Romi’ng Wolf said: "The Romi’ng Wolf North Wales has officially been sold as a franchise

"When I moved here from Birmingham, I came to North Wales with an idea, a fryer and a lot to prove. What happened after that has been beyond anything I could have imagined.

"You lot backed us, travelled for us, recommended us, reviewed us and helped turn The Romi’ng Wolf into something much bigger than just a little chicken spot.

"And now, we’ve reached the point where somebody else believes in what we’ve built enough to take on The Romi’ng Wolf North Wales as a franchise.

"But I want to make one thing very clear… I’m not leaving The Romi’ng Wolf.

"Far from it.

"This gives me the opportunity to move on to a brand-new location, open another spot and prove exactly why I believe our chicken is better than anything you’ve had before.

"And I’m not disappearing from North Wales overnight either

"I’ll be staying here until December as part of the handover period

"Over the next few months, I’ll be building and training the team, working closely with the new franchise owner and making sure the standards, quality and consistency stay exactly where they should be."

The statement said the Romi’ng Wolf's "commitment to being 100 per cent gluten-free and coeliac safe stays."

"I’ve put far too much into this place to just hand over the keys and walk away," it said.

"I want to leave knowing the team is strong, the systems are right and the food coming out of that kitchen is still food I’m proud to put The Romi’ng Wolf name on.

"Then, once that handover is complete… It’s time for the next challenge

"A new town, a new crowd, a new Romi’ng Wolf.

"North Wales gave me the opportunity to prove this idea could work.

"Now I want to prove it can work anywhere.

"Thank you North Wales. You helped build this

"And wherever we go next… we’re coming with something to prove."
