Tim Curry’s final words to fans were shared on social media just days before his death.
The actor, from Warrington, died on Tuesday (August 25) at his Los Angeles home aged 80.
He was best known for his role as Dr Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and a career spanning stage, film, and television.
Police responded to his home at 11.23pm, TMZ reported, with no foul play suspected.

Tim Curry's last social media post just days before his death
Curry’s last Instagram post came on August 13, just 12 days before his death.
It was a promotional post for his memoir Vagabond, which is available at a discounted price in the US.
He wrote: "It’s time for Barnes & Noble Book Haul, and fans in the US can buy Tim’s memoir Vagabond for HALF PRICE between the 13th of August and 1st of September!
"Well. How nice."
Vagabond was released in October 2025.
In the memoir, Curry opened up about his numerous health struggles after his stroke.
The book has received rave reviews from fans
One fan on his last Instagram post wrote: "The book is a 10/10 and Tim is a 20/10.
"Hearing his clever, incredible story in his own voice is an absolute treat!"
Another said: "Just started wonderful and endearing just like Tim."
A third added: "Such a great read!"
Tim Curry revealed he didn't "fear death"
Talking about his life after his stroke in 2012 - which left him unable to walk and reliant on a team of carers - during an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning, Curry said: "I don’t fear death.
"I try to avoid it.
"I think we all do, but I suspect that in the end, I will welcome it.
"I think it may be very comforting to go bye-bye, and I want to earn it."
He also confessed he was frightened when he first suffered a stroke because the same condition previously killed his father.
Curry said: "I was scared ... I had to learn how to speak again.
"That was very weird.
"I hated not being able to speak.
"[And] my face kind of went sideways."
The thespian previously revealed he suffered the stroke during a massage, and his therapist was the one who noticed something was wrong and called an ambulance.
Curry first played Dr Frank-N-Furter in the original London stage production of The Rocky Horror Show before reprising the role in the 1975 film adaptation.
His film credits include Clue, Legend, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and Muppet Treasure Island.
He also gained fame as Pennywise in the 1990 miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s It.
Curry enjoyed a prolific voice-acting career, earning a Daytime Emmy for his role as Captain Hook in Peter Pan & the Pirates and voicing Nigel Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys.
