Rhyl Comic Con brought a burst of colour and character to the White Rose Centre on Saturday, turning the mall into a relaxed celebration of fandom that felt unmistakably local.
Bumblebee, Ghostface and Stitch - and a rampaging dinosaur - were impossible to miss, stopping every few steps as families lined up for photos.
Kids loved it - you could see the excitement ripple through the centre every time one of the big characters appeared.
Cosplayers came dressed as their favourite anime, comic book, horror and sci‑fi icons, adding to the friendly, easy-going atmosphere.
It was the kind of day where people chatted, posed and wandered without the crowds or chaos you get at much larger conventions, and it made the whole event feel welcoming.
There were themed photo areas for fans of dinosaurs, Minecraft, Mario and Frozen, which kept younger visitors busy and gave families plenty of chances to capture the moment.
Authors and artists spent time talking about their work, while traders and makers filled the centre with comics, crafts and collectables - a nice boost for independent creators.
The White Rose Shopping Centre summed up the weekend with a message of thanks, saying: “What a fantastic weekend at Comic Con in Rhyl!

A colourful, friendly day that showed how much Rhyl enjoys a bit of imagination - and how well smaller conventions can thrive when the community gets behind them.
