Fire crews attend blaze at building on Rhyl High Street

Shortly after 8pm, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) were called to the scene of a blaze on the High Street, at what appeared to be an empty building next to Apollo Bingo.

Several crews were in attendance, with two crews remaining at the site.

At the time, NWFRS said of the incident: "Firefighters and several appliances are currently in attendance at a fire on the High St in Rhyl.

"Please avoid the area until further notice whilst emergency services deal with the incident."

A witness told the Journal that crew members are "trying to rip the shutters (of the building) open", while another noted "cracks in brickwork" caused by the fire.
