A NEW trader has opened at Rhyl's Queen's Market, offering freshly made sandwiches, paninis, toasties and homemade soups.

The Sandwich Shack is the latest food vendor to join the indoor market, serving made-to-order sandwiches using fresh ingredients and Henllan bread.

Customers can build their own sandwich by choosing their preferred bread, fillings and salad, while the menu also features paninis and 'soup of the day'.

The new addition is already proving popular with visitors to the market.

Dylan Evans, operations manager at Queen's Market, said: "We're thrilled to welcome The Sandwich Shack to the Queen's Market. It is already proving to be a popular addition to the array of quality food we can offer.

"We use fresh Henllan bread and everything is created from scratch to order with daily fresh produce.

"The sandwiches are available hot or cold and I personally recommend the Hunter's Chicken Panini.

"For those that don't fancy bread, the freshly made soup of the day also hits the spot."

The Queen’s Market celebrated its first anniversary on July 10.

Since opening, the market has provided opportunities for independent businesses and start-ups to trade, while also becoming a hub for entertainment. It hosts regular live music, comedy, shows, family-friendly events and market celebrations throughout the year.

As part of its birthday celebrations, the venue marked the opening of its new outdoor bar. Queen tribute band 'Queen's Alive' also performed for visitors.

The food hall is now home to a diverse range of traders, including Syrian food stall Mariam’s Kitchen, run by mother and son Mariam and Mo Abu Khaled, and Golden Meal, a Middle Eastern offering from Basel Al Hariri and his family.

Other food options include Romi’ng Wolf, which serves gluten-free fried chicken and loaded fries, a Cockney-style pie and mash shop, as well as Go Greek, Little Italy Pizza Rhyl, Go.Burger and Baked and Loaded, offering jacket potatoes.
