Search the Public Notice PortalA NEW indoor padel facility in Prestatyn is due to open later this summer.
The new development is to be located at units one to five of Prestatyn Business Centre.
The facility will include four double courts and two single courts, as well as a café, shop, changing rooms, and a large car park.
A planning application was submitted by Rapleys, acting on behalf of national padel operator Court De Padel, in October.
Denbighshire County Council granted it planning permission in February – it is hoped that it will open by mid-August.
Signage has now been installed at the premises.
Alan Forsyth, managing director of Court De Padel Prestatyn, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have signed a lease to open our first padel club in Wales, and could not be more pleased to have secured such a modern building in Prestatyn, that is ideal we believe for padel.
“We hope the North Wales population enjoy the padel club, with four double panoramic courts, and two single, as well as a bar and changing rooms.
“We believe this will be an excellent venue for padel players of all ages and abilities. We will have local full time padel coaches and regular lessons, socials and tournaments.
“We look forward to welcoming players from late summer 2026.”
