Despite interviewing big-name stars each week on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen, Matt Tebbutt has been left starstruck after running into a Hollywood actor.
The celebrity chef, who grew up in Newport and now lives in Llantilio Crossenny, shared a photo of himself and Paul Rudd on Instagram after bumping into the Ant-Man star during a recent trip to London.
Tebbutt said: "So bumped into this guy… 'Hey, you’re that cooking show guy!'
"So I was very cool about it all, totally didn’t overshare anything, didn’t list my favourite movies, didn’t say I’ve watched 'This is 40' too many times, or ask him to come join us on @saturday.kitchen… not me.
"Nope. So that was good!"
Fans call for Paul Rudd to come on Saturday Kitchen
Following the encounter, Saturday Kitchen fans were quick to call for Paul Rudd to come on the BBC show, alongside Tebbutt.
One person said: "He needs to go on Saturday Kitchen, it might be up there with Idris and his blue jumper if he does.
"Please make it happen!"
Another wrote: "Paul f***ing Rudd, baby!
"I have a desperate NEED to know his food heaven and hell."
A third fan commented: "You Sooo should have asked him on the show."
This person suggested adopting Rudd as a Welshman, saying: "Blimey!!
"Not bad for one of us Welsh!
"Well done you!!
"Sadly Paul hasn't Welsh roots, but Im sure we could adopt him."
How much do you know about Matt Tebbutt?
Tebbutt himself classifies himself as an "honorary Welshman", having been born in High Wycombe before moving to South Wales as a baby, and growing up in Newport.
Tebbutt has worked at various restaurants across the UK, including a traineeship at The Oak Room and The Criterion with Michelin-starred chef Marco Pierre White.
He and his wife Lisa eventually returned to South Wales, opening The Foxhunter in Nantyderry, near Usk, in 2001.
The pair ran the restaurant for around 15 years before Tebbutt left to focus on other projects, including his TV career.
They now live in the small village of Llantilio Crossenny (Monmouthshire) with their two children, Henry and Jessie.
