THERE was some a-moo-sement for residents of a village when a herd of cows turned up at their front door.

The unusual incident took place in Lixwm, near Holywell, on Tuesday (May 26) morning at around 6.30am.

Five cows were spotted moo-ching around the village, with some residents managing to capture the moment on their ring doorbell cameras.

Mike O'Donnell, 90, was among them and he and his daughter, Frances Roberts, sent the footage above to The Leader.

The curious cows can be seen wandering around at the front of the home, before swiftly 'moo-ving' on.

Frances said: "The residents in the village of Lixwm, Holywell, were surprised by five cows approaching their homes. Was this a new service, of delivering fresh milk to the local residents?"

She added: "My dad managed to capture them on his CCTV, actually on his doorstep, They soon 'mooooved' on, and no damage or disturbance was caused, by their presence - they didn't leave any large or small deposits, for the local gardeners to use.

"My dad posted the photos of the unexpected visitors to his Facebook page and has received many funny comments. He thought they may have mistaken the car park for a 'calf park'!

"We both thought this might be a funny light hearted post that could help bring a little smile to people's faces."

It is not known where the cows came from in the first place!
