Large parts of North Wales were woken by huge thunderstorms overnight.
The region has been enjoying a long spell of record-breaking hot weather over recent days.
On Wednesday, May 27, temperatures hit the mid-20s throughout the day, following several days of 30 °C across the region.
However, yesterday afternoon, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms for large parts of North Wales.
The warning came into force at 3pm and was set to expire at midnight.
At around 10pm, thunder could be heard in some areas across the region, with lightning also spotted in some areas.
Just as the warning was about to expire, the Met Office issued a second yellow weather warning for thunderstorms.
This time it came into force at midnight and lasted until 4am on Thursday, May 28.

Shortly after, a large and intense thunderstorm rolled into the region, bringing huge bangs, big flashes, and heavy rain.
This led to some roads being flooded and power outages across.
Today, the Met Office is forecasting highs of 29°C across the region, but no more thunderstorms are forecast.
