Coronation Street star Calum Lill has announced that he's become a dad in a heartwarming Instagram post.

The actor played Joel Deering while on the ITV soap and shared the happy baby news in a post alongside his fiancée, Roberta McClarron.

The new parents revealed they named the baby girl Primrose, sharing a series of photos of the family.

Captioning the post, Calum wrote, "We’re very tired but happier than ever.

"Thank you to our family and friends for all your support.

You’ve been amazing and we’re very grateful.

"And to our beautiful baby girl, you are perfect."

Reacting to the happy news, co-stars of Calum, Channique Sterling-Brown, who played Dee Dee Bailey, wrote, "So proud of you guys and welcome gorgeous Primrose, pleasure to have been on the name committee."

Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, said, "Congratulations to both of you!!"

While screenwriter and producer, Russell T Davies, wrote, "Ahh, congratulations!"

Calum last appeared in Coronation Street in September 2024, playing villian Joel who was murdered by Lauren Bolton.

In July, Joel returned for a one-off appearance as part of the hallucination Lauren was having.

Following his exit from the ITV soap, Calum shared a sweet post on Instagram, in tribute to Roberta, writing, "Ah, my partner in crime. For the last year I've been totally focused on my career, which has meant you have come second and I've hardly seen you.

"Some people might have gotten upset or p****d off at this, but you have done nothing but support me in chasing my dream. On top of your own job, you've looked after our home.

"You've done pretty much all of the cooking and cleaning, all my washing, the pots, the decorating, and you've taken it in your stride and never grumbled even on the many days when I was gone before you woke up and got into bed after you were asleep."
