THE drive-thru at KFC’s Rhuddlan restaurant could extend its opening hours.

KFC has applied to Denbighshire County Council for a variation of its premises licence at its site at Castle View Retail Park.

Its hope is to operate its drive-thru until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 1am from Sunday to Thursday.

Currently, the drive-thru opening hours are 10am to 11pm, while the restaurant opens at 10am and 10pm seven days a week.

Representations on this application can be submitted to Denbighshire County Council, with a deadline of Thursday, June 4.

KFC in Rhuddlan was refurbished in February, which involved the installation of a new lobby area at the premises, including an updated kiosk.

Last year, the business unveiled a growth plan to deliver a £1.5billion impact in the UK and Ireland, including a target to open 500 new restaurants during the next decade.

Part of this investment includes upgrading hundreds of its existing restaurants with a new design and the latest digital capabilities.
