David Guinn of Tapps, Llandudno, has applied for a change of use for the empty store at 170 High Street, Prestatyn, from shop premises to A3 use for a public house.
According to the application form, the bar area will be built from wood and varnished at the former shoe shop, Elevate Your Sole.
The pub is proposed to open Monday to Saturday at 12pm, closing at 11pm, and open Sunday and bank holidays from 12pm until 10pm.
If granted, the new pub would create three full-time jobs.
Tapps currently has two micropubs in Llandudno on Madoc Street and Craig-y-don, “serving craft beers and real ales, both local and from further afield”.
The pubs also serve a selection of “spirits and wine” and welcomes “your pooches”.
The plans are likely to be debated by councillors at a future Denbighshire County Council planning committee meeting at the authority’s Ruthin County Hall HQ.
