EastEnders fans will see the return of a character next week after a short time away from our screens.
Patrick Trueman, played by Rudolph Walker, will come back to Albert Square after visiting his son Isaac in Trinidad.
His departure came after his son Anthony was murdered.
Jasmine Fisher, Anthony’s daughter and Patrick’s granddaughter, went on trial for her biological dad’s murder but was found not guilty, reports Digital Spy.

Rudolph Walker to return to EastEnders after short time away
Patrick left for Trinidad before the trial began, recording his video statement for the CPS before he went.
His break from the BBC soap was always going to be temporary.
Fans can expect a “changed landscape” amid his return as “Jasmine is now part of the Slaters in the wake of the verdict, while the Truemans have been less forgiving – even while Yolande has suggested a sit-down conversation when her husband is back”, reports Digital Spy.
In the new scenes, fans can expect to see Patrick return to the Old Vic pub with his family, where they'll have a drink together.
Patrick will also spark up a conversation with Jasmine on his return.
Digital Spy’s EastEnders insider said: “Patrick’s back next week, feeling refreshed after what has been a heartbreaking year for him.”
They added: “Jasmine has really integrated into the Square over the last month and hopes to make amends with her grandad, but she is given a reality check when Patrick admits he’s not ready to forgive her yet.
“Will they ever be able to form a relationship?”

Viewers are used to seeing characters come and go with regular shake-ups on the show.
Last month, it was announced that Christopher Fairbank, who played the evil Eddie Knight and last appeared in the BBC soap in 2024, will make a return this year.
An EastEnders spokesperson told Newsquest: “We can confirm Christopher Fairbank will be returning to EastEnders for a short stint later this spring.”
