THE 2026 Victorian Extravaganza and Transport Festival in Llandudno both got underway on Saturday (May 2) with sunny weather and huge crowds.

A free event, the extravaganza has been running for more than 40 years, and takes over the town’s main roads.

It includes street entertainment, vintage rides, modern attractions, stall holders, face painting, and tractors and engines.

The transport festival has been running for more than 30 years, and is based at Bodafon Fields.

Many of its exhibitions left the showground to go via a heavily marshalled route into Conwy, via Llanrhos and Deganwy, through the town’s tight arches, then back to the fields.
