A WOMAN is to walk approximately 70 miles from Stoke-on-Trent to Rhyl this summer.
Katie Simpson, 36, a mother-of-four from Stoke-on-Trent, plans to complete the walk across two days, to raise money for “much-needed church repairs within the community”.
The challenge, which she has called “Katie’s Charity Walk,” will take place on July 3 and 4.
She will set off from Christ Church in Fenton, which she is raising money for, at 7am on July 3, and continuing from Chester the following morning.
Joining Katie on the walk will be her sister-in-law and one of her close friends.

Katie said: “The church plays an important role locally, and this is something that means a great deal to me personally.
“I wanted to take on a challenge that could help make a real difference.
“I’ve been sharing my journey on social media to raise awareness, and the support so far has been amazing, with strong engagement on TikTok and kind messages from the public.
“The walk will finish in Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park, and I would love to highlight this locally to encourage support from the community.
“The reason I chose Rhyl is that my mum and stepdad have a caravan on Lyons Robin Hood and we love going there, so I figured: why not make that my end destination?!”
