AN UNREGISTERED motocross-style bike has been seized after being “ridden erratically” in Towyn and Kinmel Bay.
North Wales Police’s neighbourhood policing team in Abergele also reported the rider for traffic offences following reports from members of the public.
Those with information about antisocial use of vehicles were urged to make similar reports to the force.
A force spokesperson said: “The bike was seen being ridden erratically in park areas and on public pathways in Towyn/Kinmel Bay, passing dog walkers at close proximity, before later being ridden on the road on Chester Avenue.
“We recognise the ongoing concern within the community around off road bikes and antisocial riding, and the impact this behaviour can have on people trying to enjoy public spaces safely.
“Road and public safety remains a priority for North Wales Police, and this action was taken to reduce the risk to pedestrians, other road users, and the rider themselves.
“We will continue to listen to community concerns and take appropriate action where vehicles are used in a manner that causes alarm, distress, or danger.
“Thank you to everyone who reported this incident and continues to work with us to keep our communities safe.”
