THERE'S a brand-new bundle of fluff causing a stir at Manorafon Farm Park - and he’s already completely stolen the show.
Born on a chilly Monday morning to mum Pearl, this adorable little alpaca has made quite the entrance into the world - in more ways than one.
Dill arrived headfirst, which is said to be quite unusual, as alpacas are usually born feet first.
But with the help of Farmer Kathryn, he was delivered safely and soon made his debut into the world.
Dill had a concerning temperature not long after he arrived and hadn’t yet stood up - something most cria do within just 15 minutes – so, to give him a helping hand, he was tube fed.
Wrapped up warm and closely monitored by the team, Dill spent the day in Cwtch Corner. He gently gained strength with plenty of care, warmth, and a few more feeds along the way, and by the evening, he was looking brighter.
After a few days of rest and recovery, Dill was strong enough to head back outside with mum.
Emma Lee, Digital Marketing Assistant at Manorafon Farm Park, said: "It’s been so lovely seeing everyone meet our new baby alpaca – especially as he arrived just in time for our Great Easter Eggsperience.
"Dill is now just over two weeks old and absolutely loving life here on the farm with mum.
"It’s been a really special way to welcome families over Easter, and we’re so excited to see the little one continue to win over visitors as we head into the summer season too."
Talking about the Great Easter Eggsperience, which ran between March 28 and April 6 at the farm park, Emma said: "It went brilliantly, and it was so nice to see so many families out enjoying everything the farm had to offer.
"We’re really looking forward to welcoming even more visitors over the coming months."
