A RECYCLING and waste park in Rhyl has immediately closed for the day after citing "high winds".
Rhyl Recycling and Waste Park, on Marsh Road, has been shut by the council because of high winds.
Denbighshire County Council said staff at the site were now diverting members of the public to the site in Abergele, which remains open.
People can no longer book slots at the Rhyl site for today.
Strong winds and heavy rain are affecting most of North Wales today amid a Met Office yellow weather warning which will be in place until 8pm.
Confirming the site's closure, a council spokesperson said: "Due to high winds, Rhyl Recycling Park has closed with immediate effect.
"Staff are diverting customers to Abergele – where bookings will be honoured.
"We will not be taking any further bookings today for the site."
