KFC’s restaurant in Rhuddlan is re-opening today (February 27) after closing for a refurbishment.

The fast-food restaurant, in Castle View Retail Park, shut on Monday (February 23) to allow a new lobby area, included an updated kiosk, to be installed.

The upgrade was ahead of the launch of KFC’s new Kwench drinks range on Monday, March 2.

A spokesperson for KFC said: “Sut mae, Rhuddlan, we’re back with a bang!

“The doors are open and the fryers are on at our newly revamped Castle View Park restaurant.

“Come and see our fresh look for yourself and get excited for Kwench by KFC, our bold new drinks range coming soon.”

Last year, the business unveiled a growth plan to deliver a £1.5billion impact in the UK and Ireland, including a target to open 500 new restaurants during the next decade.

Part of this investment includes upgrading hundreds of its existing restaurants with a new design and the latest digital capabilities.

The new Kwench drinks range introduces 11 freshly made beverages across four categories: Krunch shakes, boba refreshers, sparkling lemonades and iced coffees.

As part of the rollout, KFC restaurants will be fitted with dedicated Kwench counters and branding.

Leo Sloley, strategy and innovation director at KFC UK and Ireland, said: “Bold, trend-led drinks are playing a much bigger role in how Gen Z engage with restaurant brands, which is a huge opportunity for us.

“Kwench adds something completely fresh to our menu, giving people more reasons to visit KFC beyond our iconic chicken, at different moments throughout the day.

“Kwench is an important part of our ambition to become the fastest-growing restaurant brand for the next generation, and we can’t wait for our customers to try the range.”
