New garage opens doors in Rhyl at former home of Kwik Fit

A NEW MOT garage has celebrated opening its doors at the former home of Kwik Fit Rhyl.

Autovale Tyres Rhyl opened for the first time at 13-19 Elwy Street on Monday, January 5, with its opening times 8.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Saturdays.

Caravan dealers Vehicles 4 Leisure were the last occupants of the site.

It is the business’ second premises in the town, with it also based at unit 23 of Allits Industrial Estate on Vale Road.

Running the business is Farhan Khan, 47, who has lived in Rhyl for 23 years and also runs other businesses in the town, including the Chinese takeaway Wing Wah on Tynewydd Road.

He said: “The garage provides MOTs, MOT repairs, car servicing, new tyre sales, and puncture repairs.

“I decided to open the garage due to my passion for cars, strong local demand, many years of experience in the industry, and a desire to build a trusted local business.”
