FANS of Oasis are in for a treat as the UK’s official number one tribute band, Oasish, prepare to deliver a full‑throttle celebration of one of Britain’s most iconic groups — charting The Rise, The Rift and The Reunion in a show built by Oasis fans, for Oasis fans.
More than three decades after Definitely Maybe first exploded onto the scene, the fascination with the Gallagher brothers shows no sign of fading. Oasis may have split in 2009 after years of sibling tension, but their legacy — and the appetite for their music — remains immense.
Now, Oasish are stepping up with a production that promises to take audiences on a rollercoaster journey through the band’s history, from their meteoric beginnings to the solo years and the reunion fans have dreamed of.
A show in three chapters
“Oasish – The History of Oasis and Beyond” opens with a short introduction before launching into its first major chapter: The Rise. Here, the band recreate the era of Knebworth — the biggest shows Oasis ever played — with remarkable attention to detail. Not only have they sourced the same styles of clothing, but they’ve tracked down the exact models of guitars used on stage in the mid‑90s. As they perform hand‑picked tracks from the period, synchronised video footage shows Oasis themselves playing the same songs, creating a seamless blend of tribute and time travel.
The mood shifts in The Rift, exploring the fallout from Noel Gallagher’s departure in 2009. This section features a set of material from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, followed by a run of solo hits from Liam Gallagher, capturing the brothers’ diverging paths while keeping the energy high.
Finally comes The Reunion — the moment every Oasis fan has been waiting for since the band’s split. Oasish close the show with the ultimate fantasy finale, bringing Noel and Liam’s music back together in a way that promises to bring the house down.
Narrated by a familiar face
Holding the whole production together is broadcaster Terry Christian, best known for presenting Channel 4’s The Word — the very show where Oasis made their TV debut in 1994. Terry appears on screen between scenes, offering stories, context and the occasional cheeky anecdote about the Gallagher brothers before they became the biggest band since The Beatles.
A tribute with star approval
Oasish aren’t just any tribute act. They’ve been performing Oasis’ biggest hits for more than 20 years and have taken their show to major venues including Wembley Stadium, Knebworth, Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the National Indoor Arena. Even Liam Gallagher himself has seen them perform — and given them his nod of approval.
With each performance gaining momentum, this ambitious production is fast becoming a must‑see for anyone who still feels the pull of Oasis’ anthems and attitude. Could it be the definitive show charting the band’s rise, fall and imagined reunion?
As the band themselves might say...Definitely maybe.
