JULES Peters will be leading a 'New Year’s Day Red Ramble'.
The event will leave The Red in Dyserth at 2pm on Thursday, January 1.
Jules, wife of the late The Alarm frontman Mike Peters, said: "I've done a recky [sic] and it is a stunning circular route, around four miles, and perfect to dust out the cobwebs after New Year’s Eve at The Red. It’s one of my most favourite hikes in the world which is saying something as I’ve hiked all over the world.
"The hike should take us a couple of hours at tops, giving us the chance to walk and talk and put the world to rights."
Drinks after the walk will follow at The Red.
Jules and her boys - Evan, 18, and Dylan, 21, lost Mike on April 29 2025.
Evan posted a Christmas Message to fans and supporters on Christmas Eve - something that Mike would normally do.
"When I woke up this morning I realised that every year dad would write a Christmas Message so I thought that seemed the right thing to do," he said.
"I want to thank you all for being so kind and supporting me, mum and Dylan
"Dad was in a way my best mate. I know parents aren’t supposed to be your best mates but he was. I feel very lucky that he was my dad."
He commented that the family didn't think 2025 "would be the end."
"We were going to tour together. New beginnings," he said.
"Mike was shaking it up again. Unsafe building. Just like he always did as a kid straight out of Rhyl.
"I’m the biggest Alarm fan ever and over the years, I’ve just soaked it all up.
"Dad writing his songs around the house, music in every part of our life together. I miss him very much and I know you all do too."
Evan added that his dad was "so strong right to the very end" and that he was planning to "honour his dying wishes and continue The Alarm, The Gathering."
"I have so many favourite Alarm Songs and I promise you that the Gathering set lists are going to be amazing," he said.
The talented teenager concluded: "We all miss dad but we will keep on remembering him. And celebrating him. He was our amazing dad.
"Just like mum always says 'gone but never ever forgotten'.
"Just in the other room."
