A WOMAN who runs a cat café in Rhyl has asked people to “stop dumping your cats” outside her premises.
Dyserth resident Nicole Revayova, 45, opened The Little Gatito, on Russell Road, in March, working with North Wales cat charity, Feline Fur Babies.
But she has pleaded with people to stop leaving their cats outside the café, saying she is happy to care for them but must “prepare for it”.
Nicole said: “Since I opened, it’s happened about twice a week. They must wait until I leave the café. The last two were literally just tied with string on my doorknob.
“But I don't want spread negativity. They must have reason to do that; at least they haven't dumped them in the middle of nowhere.”
In a Facebook post, she added: “I cannot stress this enough - please stop dumping your cats outside my café.
“If I can help, I will, but there's preparation for it! To the person/people who dumped two males on Saturday and two males today, thank you. They are petrified, wet through, and my cafe stinks of male p***.
“Thank God for my vet who went far beyond caring and took them in straight away, but I'm not made of money.
“I have to pay for emergency services, castrations and vaccinations. I'm not getting it for free. “Next time, please just let me know so I can prepare for it!”
Nicole is to open her café on Christmas Day, meanwhile, to support anyone feeling lonely on December 25.
There will be no charge on eating or drinking at the café on that day.
She added: “I'll provide coffee, tea and sandwiches, and the cats provide the company.
“I know it's before Christmas and everybody struggles, but any donations would be appreciated from bottom of our hearts.”
