In a Strictly Come Dancing first, tonight's (Saturday, November 29) episode will see the remaining couples take on a new Instant Dance challenge.
After Blackpool, there are six couples left on Strictly 2025:
- Alex and Johannes
- Amber and Nikita
- Balvinder and Julian
- George and Alexis
- Karen and Carlos
- Lewis and Katya
Drag artist La Voix was the latest Strictly departure, forced to withdraw from the competition last week due to injury.
Due to La Voix's withdrawal, there was no dance-off on last week’s results show and no elimination, meaning votes and scores will be carried over to this week.
On top of that, the couples will also be taking on the brand new Instant Dance challenge.
What is the Instant Dance challenge?
Overseen by Tess and Claudia, the Instant Dance challenge will see each couple pick a dance style at random from the ones they have already learnt in the competition.
They will then be played their accompanying music and, after a frantic costume change, each couple will have 10 seconds to decide how they will dance.
How is the Instant Dance scored?
After all six Strictly couples have danced, the Strictly judges will rank them and award extra marks accordingly.
The BBC explained: "A maximum of six marks will be awarded to the couple whose Instant Dance performance impressed them the most, right down to one point for the couple whose dance impressed them the least."

Head Judge Shirley Ballas added: "Instant Dance has the power to change everything for our couples, and will challenge them in ways they have never been challenged before.
"With standards so incredibly high this year and the competition so close, there's a lot resting on it.
"The dance styles, costumes and music might not be revealed until the night, but what we can be sure of right now is that it's going to be a whole lot of fun. I cannot wait!"
When does the Instant Dance challenge take place?
The Instant Dance challenge will take place on tonight's episode of Strictly Come Dancing, once all six couples have completed their normal routines.
