PEOPLE were shocked to see a huge lizard taking an afternoon stroll through a North Wales town.
People took the Buckley Residents Group on Facebook on Thursday to post photos and videos of the reptile - believed to be a monitor lizard.
It had reportedly escaped from a property in the town where it's kept as a pet.
The remarkable footage showed the lizard walking along Nant Mawr Road.
Thankfully, the lizard, named Terry, was reunited with its owner and is home safe and sound.

Dozens of people commented expressing their shock at the lizard.
One person said: "Wish I had detoured through Buckley yesterday now! What a handsome beast."
Another person wasn't so keen, saying: "I would have had a heart attack if I had bumped into him."
A further commentor added: "Thank god he’s been collected. Would not like to walk down the street with that coming towards me."
