A PET grooming business is relocating from St Asaph to Prestatyn.
Samco Pet Spa has closed its premises on The Roe, and will re-open on Sandy Lane on Tuesday, June 17.
It offers grooming services for dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits, and will be in open at its new Prestatyn home between 9am and 5pm from Tuesday to Friday.
Business owner Cheryl Boulton, 43, who herself has three dogs, two gerbils, a canary and a horse, said: “It’s been a lot of stress moving, but we’re getting there. We’ve had to rip it out to its bare bones, so we’re exhausted, but excited!
“We’ll be offering generic grooming, spa grooms, facials, mud spas, sugar scrubs and more.
“The new premises has also got a ‘self-grooming room’ where people can bath their own dogs, with all of the grooming equipment they need.”
Cheryl has been a pet groomer since the age of 18, and full-time for the last 12 years.
Her decision to start Samco Pet Spa was borne out of her desire to “be her own boss”
A multi-award-winning groomer, she ran her business from The Roe for eight years before deciding to move to Prestatyn.
Cheryl was also a nominee for up-and-coming groomer of the year in the Liz Paul Awards at the International Grooming Conference 2022.
