FLORAL tributes have been left outside The Red in Dyserth following the death of beloved rock star Mike Peters.
The Red, the music café venue owned by Mike's wife Jules, 58, said the family had been "overwhelmed" by the love show to their "beloved Michael Peters".
Tributes and messages from around the world have flooded in following the death of The Alarm frontman, aged 66.
Mike's steel statue, an the entrance to Rhyl’s Pont y Ddraig bridge, has been decorated with heart-warming floral tributes and Flintshire Scooter Club drove over to The Red to pay their respects to talented musician.
Jules, who penned a beautiful tribute to her 'true love' on the eve of his passing, shared on social media: "Part of me has always been prepared for days like this but then again, none of us can ever be fully prepared for days like this and the loss of our loved ones. Something all of us have to face eventually.
"The beach air hit me this morning as I stepped out to visit 'Metal Mickey'.
"I’ve always visited Mike’s statue in Rhyl over the years when we have been separated from time to time…
"It was my way of feeling connected.
"This morning I felt overcome by a tidal wave of grief at the thought that I would never walk a beach again with MLP.
"Walking beaches was our thing.
"Walking mountains too.
"To equalise the tidal wave feeling, I gave thanks instead, for 39 beautiful years, walking the beach and the mountains all over the world, together.
"And this I hope, is how we will all work through our grief together, by focusing on all that we have had, rather than all that we may have lost.
"Michael Peters style.
"This is what he wants for us all. To be happy. To not be sad. To live our life fully each day.
"It’s going to be difficult I know as there is so much love.
"I am so happy to see all the love being shared. Please keep it coming. It is helping us so much as a family."
Jules revealed The Red re-opened its doors on May 1 and son Dylan ap Michael marked his 21st birthday.
"We opened The Red as a family and just hung out receiving flowers, sharing stories and reminiscing upon the waterfall of adventures that we have all shared together with MLP," she said.
"I am so proud of our sons, who just like their father, are going about their daily lives with a big smile on their faces and giving thanks for all that they have experienced with their incredible father.
"Ap Michael translates to 'son of' and so Michael lives on in both Dylan and Evan.
"Our heartfelt thanks as a family for all the love afforded to us. The tributes, messages flowing in minute by minute are healing us. We will be in touch to thank you all.
"All our love hope and strength.
"Tomorrow is another day."

This weekend marks two years of The Red; Jules purchased The Red Lion in 2022 and rebranded it as The Red/Y Coch.
A post on Facebook by The Red said: "Here at The Red we are overwhelmed by the love shown to our beloved Michael Peters.

"Mike wanted us all to live on and be happy so we are following his lead.

Mike died from blood cancer in the early hours of April 29.
The lead vocalist, who was appointed MBE - Member of the Order of the British Empire, in the New Year Honours for his voluntary services to Cancer Care in North Wales in 2018, was forced to cancel a US tour last year after being diagnosed with fast-growing lymphoma.
Mike, who supported U2 and Status Quo on tour and played with Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, was first diagnosed with the blood cancer chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) more than 30 years ago, aged 36.
Over the years he underwent numerous drug treatments and rounds of chemotherapy and tried experimental therapy to keep his cancer at bay. Most recently, he underwent Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Therapy (CAR-T) at The Christie in Manchester in an attempt to cure his Richter's syndrome, a rare and aggressive blood cancer.
The One show, in 2018, covered the story of The Alarm's singalong anthem Sixty Eight Guns which launched the band into the UK's top 20 in 1983.
In the programme, Mike revealed that when he was first diagnosed, he was on the way to a concert and he "didn't know what to do."
He said: "All my instincts just said 'go and play the gig.' As I was singing the song, the words 'sixty-eight guns will never die' really spoke to me in another way altogether from how I had originally written the song.
"To me it is a battle cry to live, to stay alive."
