A new immersive boxing-inspired fitness experience is set to launch in Rhyl.

Denbighshire Leisure Ltd (DLL) has announced the opening of BOX12, a workout space at Club Rhyl, as part of its £1 million refurbishment.

The new facility will open on March 31.

The fitness brand was named as one of the top trends to watch in 2025 by The Sunday Times.

DLL managing director Jamie Groves said: "DLL has a reputation for bringing innovative fitness solutions to its facilities and BOX12 is no exception.

"Club Rhyl members are already enjoying our ground-breaking, immersive Studio 360, which was also the first of its kind in Wales.A 'fun way' of increasing overall strength A 'fun way' of increasing overall strength (Image: Box12)

"We are thrilled to be following this with yet another first – BOX12.

"Members will love it, a fun way of increasing both cardiovascular fitness and overall strength and a great social activity."

BOX12 is designed to provide a 'high-intensity workout' for people of all fitness levels, not just boxers.

BOX12 was founded in 2019 by fitness industry veterans Jamie Cartwright and Jon Eade.

It is now present in more than 75 locations across multiple countries.

Jon Eade, BOX12 co-founder, said: "We’re incredibly excited to partner with DLL in order to bring the first BOX12 In-Club Solution to Wales.

"Working with the team at Club Rhyl in order to bring our Main Event Energy to their gym floor means we can offer members the ability to access world-class Boxing for Fitness programming on their schedule, whenever they want to train.

"BOX12 is a 12-round, 36-minute Boxing & Functional workout that will keep you engaged, challenged and motivated – and it’s also great fun.

"All you need to do is rock-up, jump into Round One, and let BOX12’s virtual coaching screens do the rest.

"We can’t wait to see you there."

The introduction of BOX12 is part of a series of upgrades at Club Rhyl in 2025.

The first launch was a strength gym in January, followed by a new cardio room and Studio X, a specially designed HIIT training space.
