A RED carpet event in Rhyl to celebrate horror cinema's nominations at this year's Oscars has been hailed a success.
Rhyller Thriller's Oscars Party took place at Rhyl Little Theatre on Saturday, March 1, and featured a screening of body horror movie The Substance starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley.
Attendees walked down a red carpet, were given a free glass of bubbly, and were greeted by host Chad Jones who was dressed as Julius Caeser for some reason.
Demi Moore was favoured to win Best Actress at the Oscars but lost out to breakout star Mikey Madison for her role in Anora.
However, Ms Moore was given the Best Actor gong in Rhyller Thriller's own awards after the screening.

Best Film went to Longlegs, starring Nicholas Cage and directed by Oz Perkins.
Rhyller Thriller is the brainchild of Chad Jones and Tomos Rowlands, who have organised several film-inspired events in Rhyl.

There was also a raffle, with signed photos of movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Warwick Davies, and Spencer Wilding to be won.
After the event, Tomos said: We really love Rhyl and doing something a bit different and special for people to enjoy is right in our wheel house.
"Giving that classic cinema experience in this building is really special, and the feedback we have had tells us that people really appreciate and enjoy it.
"Alongside our love of all things horror and trying to bring more things to the town we adore.
"I'm really proud to promote the community aspect of what we do.
"Loneliness and mental health struggles can affect absolutely anyone at any time and we believe that building a community based around affordable cinema and these events cam really help combat these issues.
"We try to create relationships and friendships that can truly blossom through shared interests with the final aim being to empower the community one scream at a time."
