A SHOP located within a Post Office in Rhyl was targeted by police last week.
The shop, which is independent of the Post Office despite being based within the same premises on Bodfor Street, was “emptied of their vapes” by police on September 23.
A witness added to the Journal that they saw “four policemen come out with two white see-through bags full of vape pens”.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said that the operation was “part of an enforcement exercise targeting illegal vapes and tobacco items”.
A Post Office spokesperson added: “Rhyl Post Office is open as normal. The current postmaster for Rhyl has no connection to the retail side of the shop.”
The Post Office branch on Bodfor Street opened last year.
