A MAN has admitted strangling a woman in Abergele during an incident earlier this year.
Leighton Williams, 37, of Gibson Avenue, Wakefield, today (August 27) pleaded guilty to a charge of intentional strangulation at Caernarfon Crown Court (sitting at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court).
He will be sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court on Wednesday, September 25.

The court heard that he intentionally strangled Coral Williams in Abergele on April 5.
Williams was bailed until his sentencing hearing by Judge Timothy Petts, while a pre-sentence report on his behalf will be compiled in the intervening period.
Judge Petts told Williams: “The fact you’ve pleaded guilty to intentional strangulation will make a difference to your sentence, but you will have been told that these cases are treated very seriously by the courts.
“I’m not ruling anything out, I’m not ruling anything in.”
A not guilty verdict was recorded in respect of a second charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, meanwhile.
