A QUANTITY of cannabis was seized and a man arrested on suspicion of drug-driving in Rhyl as part of a new crackdown scheme in the town.

As part of North Wales Police’s “Project Renew”, officers on patrol have, in the last few days, also seized a vehicle for having no valid insurance.

Traffic offence reports were also issued for driving while using a mobile phone.

Officers have issued two antisocial driving offences reports, while a number of individuals have also been “stop-searched” while patrols were carried out.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “Officers will not tolerate antisocial driving, and neither should the public.

“Alleyways and streets have been patrolled, where a number of individuals have been stop-searched, providing high visibility and re-assurance to the community.”
