THEATR Clwyd’s much-loved Family Arts Festival returns for a weekend full of boredom-busting fun family activities.

The low-cost Family Arts Festival will take place on August, Saturday 3 and Sunday, August 4 at Theatr Clwyd.

The weekend will be full of performances, storytelling sessions, music, silent discos, arts and crafts, face painting and more.

Some activities will require booking while others are drop-in sessions that can take place at any point throughout the weekend.

Some of the bookable events include Mr Toad, an explosive new respawn of Wind in the Willows by Wise Owl Theatre.

Suitable for ages 3+ the show includes funny songs, witty jokes, and beautiful puppetry and are BSL interpreted. With Toad Hall under threat from the sly Vin Weasel, Toad’s insatiable need for speed could land him in serious trouble! Toad must discover what being a hero truly means.

The Flying Bedroom will take you on an adventure into music-making, theatre creating and storytelling. They will combine music technology and puppetry to create stories and music.

It will bring families into the early stages of developing a new interactive and immersive show, aimed at 7-11 year olds. Some performances will be BSL interpreted.

Fans of comedy won’t want to miss Comedy Club 4 Kids. Join some of the best comedians from the UK and world circuit doing what they do best, cracking entertainment for everyone ages six and over.

Join Theatr Clwyd’s team for some fun workshops. Unleash your creativity and explore dance or drama in a safe environment.

Make new friends, learn new skills, and create something amazing. Suitable for ages 5-11. There will also be Music workshops run by the Theatr Clwyd Music team, all ages are welcome.

The festival has been supported by Menter Iaith and they will be hosting a drop-in silent disco, a ukulele workshop, and a visit from Magi Ann!
