FLOWERS made out of Lego will be put on display at Rhyl’s Botanical Gardens.

They were created by Floss Barrett, 60, who founded Rhyl Building Bricks, and who has also had her flowers on display at the Liverpool Lego store and published in “Blocks” magazine.

Her exhibition of flowers at the gardens’ cafe will be available for people to enjoy, free of charge, on May 29 from 12-3pm.

Floss has created daffodils using minifigure hair pieces, daisies from hair brushes, and geraniums from ladybird minifigure wings, plus lots more.

She said: “If you or your children love Lego, then you will certainly be amazed by what elements can be used to create flowers!

“The wiser and more mature generation will be astounded at how Lego has changed since they were a child.

“I look forward to meeting you and telling you how I have created my wonderful floral display. Lots of my friends come to view my display at the café, from a radius of 100 miles away.”

Floss has been building Lego flowers since the range was released more than three years ago, and has been designing and building her own creations of them for about 18 months now.

She displays them at Lego events across the UK for charities, especially FairyBricks, who buy Lego with the money and give them to children in hospital across the UK and abroad.
