A man has been arrested in connection with Class A drug dealing after police raided a house earlier today.

The raid was carried out by police officers from the Horwich neighbourhood team on Harrier Close, Lostock on Wednesday May 1.

Officers say that the man in still in custody for questioning.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Horwich neighbourhood team have today executed a warrant on Harrier Close, Lostock.

“One male has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs following a search of the property.

“The male has also been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after testing positive for cannabis following a road side test.

“The male remains in police custody for questioning.”

As yet no further details have been released about the type of Class A drugs police say they found or about the alleged amount.

This comes amid ongoing concerns about drug crime and its effects all over Bolton and the wider Greater Manchester city region in recent months and years.
