RESIDENTS of Runcorn and Widnes are being reminded to resubscribe for green bin permits.
Halton Borough Council is advising that current garden waste service subscriptions will expire on May 31.
A new subscription payment will need to be made if customers wish to receive collections beyond this date.
Payment for new subscriptions is not automatically taken by the council, meaning you will need to re-subscribe before June 1 in order for collections to continue.
Subscriptions can still be paid for after that date, but any green bins presented for collection after this date without displaying a valid licence will not be emptied.
The charge for collections is £43 per bin.
Payments can currently be made by calling 0303 333 4300 and choosing option three or online at webapp.halton.gov.uk/PublicWebForms/WasteServiceSearchv1.aspx?tab=2#collections
You can also pay at one of the council’s one-stop shops using a debit or credit card.
A council spokesman added: “After May 31, we will only collect bins displaying a valid 2024/25 licence.
“As it can take up to 14 days for your licence sticker to arrive, please subscribe in plenty of time to ensure that you do not miss any collections.”
