A HORSE rider from Rhyl has saddled up to raise money for charity.

Ffion Jones, 20, and her horse Bobby are 'cantering for cancer'; Money will be raised for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.

Ffion has had Bobby, who has just turned seven-years-old, for almost a year.

She said: "I have decided to take part in this challenge as there’s so many kids and adults who are going through bone cancer, I want to help raise enough money so we can help families.

"As part of the challenge, I will be riding Bobby out and about and tracking down how many kilometres we have done. Our goal is 250km and to raise £150.

"I have taken Bobby all over the place. We've travelled from Kinmel Bay to Rhyl, the Nova in Prestatyn, Towyn, Pensarn and Abergele. The challenge can take place anywhere.

"I am keen to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust as I want to make a difference and help people out."

Ffion sadly lost her grandma Linda Rubin to cancer.

"I want to help out so people don’t have to go through the same with losing a loved one," she said.

"I have been riding horses now for about 18 years and I am very passionate about what I do.

"Horses have changed my life and made me who I am today.

"Any support is much appreciated for this journey."
